At Itec, some of the partnerships we’re most proud of have nothing to do with heavy equipment.

This season, we are very happy to announce that Itec Equipment is a proud title sponsor of the Thunder Bay Queens U15AA hockey team for the 2026-2027 season.

The Thunder Bay Queens competitive program is part of the Thunder Bay Women’s Hockey Association and provides young female athletes in our community with opportunities to develop their skills, compete at a higher level and represent Thunder Bay through a sport they love.

For us, though, supporting youth hockey is about much more than what happens on the ice.

Sport has an incredible way of teaching young people lessons they carry with them long after the skates come off. It teaches commitment, resilience and accountability. It teaches you to celebrate someone else’s success, pick up a teammate after a difficult game and understand that sometimes the best results come when everyone works together.

And there is something especially meaningful about supporting girls in sport.

These young athletes are building confidence, friendships and leadership skills while learning that they belong in competitive spaces, that they can be strong, determined and ambitious, and that there is a whole community behind them cheering them on.

That’s something worth investing in.

As a locally owned Northwestern Ontario company, Itec has always believed that being part of a community means doing more than simply operating a business in it. It means supporting the people, organizations and opportunities that help make it stronger.

We’re looking forward to following the Thunder Bay Queens U15AA throughout the season, celebrating their successes and proudly seeing the Itec name alongside a group of young athletes representing our community.

To the players, coaches and families: enjoy the road trips, the friendships, the big wins and even those tough games that teach you something.
